HalloweenBob and Lady Countessa will help you create the perfect gothic wedding day that you have always imagined. We will also share with you numerous ideas, rituals and events from other gothic wedding ceremonies for your consideration.

Please Keep in mind that some locations may have various restrictions from performing certain activities and we need to respect that in order to have your wedding day run as smoothly as possible. It's always best to discuss with us these details before we secure the final location for your gothic wedding ceremony.

Victorian Chapel Ceremonies:

If you choose to have your wedding ceremony performed in a victorian chapel or other house of worship, we may have to talk to their officiant and find out what is allowed in the sanctuary and what is negotiable. Most of the Victorian Chapels allow a basic gothic wedding ceremony to be performed by HalloweenBob and Lady Countessa: however, we are sometimes limited on the "extra rituals" you may want to include in your ceremony.
 

Secular Wedding Ceremonies:

If you choose to have your ceremony in an Orlando garden, hotel, bed and breakfast or other non-religious site, we have a lot more freedom in what we can include in your ceremony. 

Both HalloweenBob and Lady Countessa are ordained ministers with the Church of Spiritual Humanism and as non-denominational religious officiants registered with State of Florida, we will attempt to incorporate anything you desire into your wedding ceremony. We even have a few very romantic and symbolic rituals of our own you may want to add!

Traditional Gothic Wedding Vows

Welcome one and all, and witness <name> and <name> as they pledge their dedication to walk the night together.

From the night we come, to the night we go,
Cursed or blessed to walk the Moonlight alone.
Sometimes another soul walks our path,
Then two become one, in love everlasting.
Come forward, Chylder of the Blood,
And welcome this couple to your brood,
Within each other, these two are found,
Bear witness as their souls are bound.

HalloweenBob binds the couple's left wrists together with a red cloth. The binding takes place over a goblet of red wine.

Stand now as ye will stand forever,
Like this crimson cloth your hearts are tethered,
This goblet's wine is your blood of devotion,
So sup from this dedication potion.

The couple takes turns drinking from the goblet with their right hands. As HalloweenBob asks the bridge and groom to repeat these vows.

<bride name> repeat these vows:
I will stand by your side, hunt at your back, and fly within your Soul.
I will stand between you and all which would harm you.
I will shield you from the Light of Day with my flesh.
I will never betray you, for you are my Heart, my Soul and my Life.

<groom name> repeat these vows:
I will stand by your side, hunt at your back, and fly within your Soul.

I will shield you from the Light of Day with my flesh.
I will never betray you, for you are my Heart, my Soul and my Life.

HalloweenBob takes the goblet and pours the last drop upon the Altar and states.

Above you are the stars, below you are the stones. As time passes, remember, like the star should your love burn brightly, like the stone should your love be firm. Be close, yet not so close that you restrict one another. Possess one another, yet grant each other the freedom to grow. Be understanding and compassionate, and have patience with each other, for storms may come, but they will quickly pass. Be free in giving affection and warmth. Fear not, lest the ways or words of the unenlightened give you unease. For the Lady and Lord are with you, now, and always.

As both your arms and the cloth form the symbol of eternity, may your love endure through this life and all others. As the Gods and the old ones are witness with those of us present now, I proclaim them Husband and Wife, and thus are they Bonded in Blood. The two are now one.

I present to The Blood <insert names> Forever Bound, Eternally Free! You are husband and wife for eternity. You may now kiss.

Please note that HalloweenBob for legal authorization must mention the husband and wife in the vows must be included to legally marry a couple. Without the authorization and mention of husband and wife, this ceremony may be used as a good commitment ceremony.
